Nerisha Parbhoo Shares a Yummy Mommies Class Review

Have you ever wanted to exercise but felt scared? Well, I did. I succumbed to the misconception that it will hurt the unborn baby? Perhaps you just don't have any energy to drag yourself to a gym and then wait in line for gym equipment or machines. Or even tried to find a class that will be suitable for your personal needs and likes? Maybe you just had a baby and have not found the time or desire to deal with your new 'mom-bod'.

I love keeping active and tried to keep active during my pregnancies,  which is why I was rather excited when I was invited to attend a post-natal (Yummy Mommies) class with KimTamsin and I loved it. The classes offer everything you need to break a sweat (or glow) but are also designed to make you feel comfortable and relaxed at the same time. Even more so is that all the classes offered are hosted and taught by qualified instructors.

Founded by Kim-Tamsin Williams a mom to two young boys and a fitness enthusiast, Kim saw the need to create a space for expectant mothers so that they can feel comfortable, relaxed, in an environment where support is encouraged. By having this space, you feel more committed to attending sessions, especially even if you feel like giving up.

From having trained in the conventional gym during both my pregnancies as well as postpartum. I highly recommend these classes.  I love that these classes are so intimate and there is so much one-on-one interaction and guidance from the instructor that you even forget that you are 'working out'. I highly recommend these classes if you are pregnant or just had a baby.

Each class is designed to suit the different stages of pregnancy as well as post-partum. Studies have shown that exercising during pregnancy will promote muscle tone, strength, and endurance. It also aids in helping you sleep better. Regular activity during pregnancy may improve your ability to cope during labour.

I have found that exercising after both my babies improved my physical and mental wellbeing as well as helped restore my pre-pregnancy muscle strength and firmed up my body. It increased my energy levels making me enjoy so much more time with both my kids.

The Yummy Mommies pre and post natal classes are not just about getting your body back, but we fully believe in staying fit and keeping healthy during and after your pregnancy.” – Kim-Tamsin Williams – Founder.
