As you would take supplements and eat the correct foods, exercise plays a vital role in getting ready for labour and birth.
NB: Please remember that this will apply if there are no health issues where increased activity will negatively impact the pregnancy. E.g.: preterm labour, low placenta, IVF, multiple pregnancy, spotting or bleeding during pregnancy, or any health issues where you were advised to maintain bed rest.
Would you believe that keeping fit and healthy can minimise the effects of many of the discomforts of pregnancy, e.g.: haemorrhoids, constipation, back pain, nausea, incontinence, lethargy, swelling feet and fingers, leg aches

It promotes muscle and ligament strength, tone and endurance.
It builds stamina for labour and birth
Exercise and physical activity can decrease the possibility of diabetes and increased weight gain.

Strengthening the perineal floor
Prevents leaking of urine when laughing, coughing or sneezing

All programmes have been developed by our qualified Sports Scientist, pre and post natal instructor and doula Kim-Tamsin Williams and aim to improve the health and wellness of mothers with proven beneficial exercises.
Our classes:
Exercises have been designed to minimise impact on the spine and pelvic floor
Classes are suitable for all fitness levels

The class is structured to provide mothers with the correct balance of the recommended range of exercises
45 minutes classes combine both the use of a stability ball as well as resistance (weights)
Exercises promote cardiovascular fitness, stabilise the pelvis and lumbar spine as well as strengthen and tone all muscle groups.
